NST SUDOKU Tournament 2008 ~Experience~

2nd day of the tournament....
Raymond Eng and Lim Thai Hoong are participate in Category 3 (50 and above). They both are able to finish in 20min...but they not qualified for the Top 7:( (Nvm..try next month or next year)
Raymond Eng and Eng Yee Sheang are participate in Category 4 (Parent and child). The SUDOKU for this category is so hard and no one able to win the RM5000...(Winnie wish her son grow up fast so she can participate...she even brought a book to teach her son...her son so cham la)

Cameron Room Arrangement

Dear Engs,

The 3 appartments at cameron highland has 9 rooms (3 master + 6 Normal room) has more than enough rooms for everybody (9 rooms for 26 + 6 pax), however, to make sure that it is properly arrange and everybody happy, please give some your precious suggestion, your comment is very important as this will help to make a happy trip.

Anyway, it's only1 night and most of us especially the youngster will not get a chance to sleep cause with the casino open thoughout the night. hehe.

And remember, it's our first and very first family outing, we hope there is second or even more events for the family in the furture. as we are human beings, we may come across some arguments or complaints during the trip, and we ask for everyone's patience and tollerance and most importantly understanding and forgiveness, and if you feel you are being mistreated or you have any complaints, just let the committee know and we are sure to help to overcome the problem. OK?

VIP Coach is ON

Hi Engs,

Good news, we have finally agreed on the bus arrangement instead of driving our own car. It's a much better idea cause on top of having more fun going together in one bus, we do our part in saving the environment too (hehe)

The price of the VIP coach (40 seater) is RM 1800 (cheapest so far, if anyone can get cheaper for same type of coach, just let us know and we can call the person in charge)

However, instead of RM70 (RM35 children) per pax, we have to increase the fee to

RM120 per pax (RM60 children).

But if we calculate all the factors (petrol, toll, tayar, brake, wear and tear, saman, and most importantly the fun), it is still so much better to go for VIP coach.

2) Kok Hoong and family - Confirmed (6 adults 1 children) very big sacrifice cause have to cancel hotel at cameron on friday, respect and big applause for them)

3) Kok Hong and family - Confirmed (4 adults 1 children)

4) Kok Yen and family - Confirmed (7 adults)

5) Kok Hua and family - confirmed (3 adults)

Winnie Eng and Sandy Eng take part in the Category 2 (18 ~ 49 years old) with 70 participants on the day 1 (28/6) of the tournament. Winnie Eng manage to get the 4th place.

Bus suggested

Dear Engs,

We received a suggestion from Yee Fei and Fat Simon about renting bus instead of driving our own cars, problem is, they are very expensive (in which I think), plus Kok Hoong and family is going a day ealier as they will not be able to share the bus, or should each of us top up more (maybe another RM??) to make it possible to charter a bus? I think it will definately be more fun to go together don't you think so?

Anyway, since it has been suggested, I think we should explore for more ideas or comments, please contribute your ideas or comments.

Fee: RM70 (adult) RM 35 (children below 12 and must be accompanied by parents)


Time Table:

12 July 2008 (Saturday)
2:30am - wake up and wash up, get yourselves ready for leaving house before 5:30
5:30 - Gathering at Bukit Rimau Golf and Country House, please note that fingerprint attendance is compulsory (proudly sponsored by Xenix, advertisement hehe) to ensure prompt attendance, any late comers will be saman RM1000 plus 3 rotans.
6:00am - breakfast kaki kautim
7:00am - depart from Bukit Rimau
12:00am - Reaching Cameron Highland (brinchang)
1:00pm - Lunch served (Continental Nasi Lemak with ikan bilis)
2:30pm - Games and Activities (by CGO Elaine Quah [spelling mistakes maybe])
6:30pm - Dinner served (Highland Style Exotic Steamboat)
8:30pm - Pasar Malam Trip with Certified and Professional Tour Guide (Ms. Chin Pit Jen)
10:00pm - "Eng" Casino starts operation, you are welcome to lose money

6:00am - All aunties must wake up and prepare breakfast, if not rotan 8 kali
8:00am - 'Sap Sum Chow Mai Fun" breakfast served
9:00am - Free and easy, but must return key to landlord or she will SM you
9:30am - Photo session at brinchang strawberry farm or anywhere as long as we can take group photo. (Banner design contest is held in conjunction with the trip, members are welcome to design creative banner with the title "ENG FAMILY 2008 Cameron Highland Extravagant trip", 1st prize winner will get free transport back to KL)
10:30am - Do anything you want but just ensure you are not screwing up. My I suggest that we do lunch at Ipoh "NGAH CHOY KAI", especially "ON KEI NGAH CHOY KAI" is quite good oh!

Notes:
The management will provide "standard" food (nasi lemak, steamboat, and chow mai fun) and drinks (coffee and milo posder, 2 packets per pax). And you are welcome to sponsor anything is is not on the list.

After long battle (2 hours of non-stop debating on sunday 22n d June 2008, suggesting so many nonsenses), we have finally picked our committee members as follow:

CEO - Chief Executive Officer : Chin Pit Jen (surprise huh? she is not "ENG"....., anyway she is related to "ENG" also lah, it shows how open ENG'S familys are!)

CFO - Chief Finance Officer : Eng le Yeun AKA Winnie Eng, make sure you guys pay before departure

CMO - Chief "Makan" Officer : Eng Kok Yen and Lim Thai Hoong, you can suggest any food during our trip to cameron highland but all will be overuled, casuse THEY ARE NOT LISTENING!!!!! and THEY DON'T CARE!!!!! (e.g. you suggest ikan bilis for Nasi Lemak also kena hantam kao kao)

CGO - Chief "GAME" officer : Elaine QUAH, dunno spell right or not cause she has been complaining about spelling her name wrongly. and also she said it's no making sense to bring PING PONG table all the way up to cameron highland cause not many people playing, and after long discussion the committee thinks that is true also, so we have come to conclusion that she should bring SNOOKER table instead.

CGO - Chief "GENERAL" officer, ENG KOK HONG, for anything that anyone claims that it's not their responsibility will be her responsiblity.

CBO - Chief "BARKING" officer: ENG YEE FEI, if you need to scold anyone, just let her know.

CTPO - Chief "TAN POK" officer, ENG YEE CHUANG, his job will be as stated in his title.
